Mahatma Gandhi Govt. School Sri Vijaynagar is situated in the middle of the town at ward no 10 near Nagar palika Sri Vijay Nagar concentrates on staying at par with the infrastructure and facilities of the same and higher standard as that of a K.V. school with stipulations on pupil-teacher ratio, holistic educational environment, appropriate curriculum, integrated education for the disabled, girl child education, use of ICT (Information and Communication Technology) in schools.
